Rush Limbaugh mocked the media on Friday for making a fuss about Foster Friess?s now-infamous aspirin ?between their knees? comment, defending the remark as ?innocent? and condemning the press for trying to turn Rick Santorum into a ?creep? by association.
The conservative radio host spent a sizable portion of his show discussing Andrea Mitchell?s Thursday interview with Friess ? a major donor to the pro-Santorum super PAC ? playing the exchange repeatedly as he laced into the MSNBC host.

The Friess comment Limbaugh was referring to, which had quickly landed the wealthy businessman in hot water, was: ?Back in my days they used Bayer aspirin for contraception. The gals put it between their knees and it wasn?t that costly.?
An awestruck Mitchell responded, ?Excuse me, I?m just trying to catch my breath from that, Mr. Friess, frankly.?
Limbaugh insisted Friday that Friess?s comment was as ?innocent as it could be,? especially considering the country?s current culture that is ?obsessed with sex.?
?The conventional wisdom now is everybody, particularly kids, have sex. It?s fine that they have sex,? he said, according to a transcript of the show. ?There?s nothing unusual about it. We shouldn?t be concerned.?
Limbaugh, who has spoken favorably of Santorum in recent weeks without extending a formal endorsement, also vented that the GOP candidate had become ?guilty by association.?
?Santorum?s just as creepy, ?cause this guy is creepy,? he said. ?The media is going crazy and they?re trying to bury Santorum. He?s guilty by association with a Cro-Magnon creep.?
Planned Parenthood also received a deluge of attacks from Limbaugh, which the radio host accused of promoting sex by providing dildos, vibrators and ?every sex aid and instructions on how to use them.?
?You know how my mother described loose women? ? She described them as round heels. I said, ?What do you mean, mother?? ?Round heels, son, they just roll right over.? That?s from the same era as the aspirin between the knees,? Limbaugh said.
Santorum has tried to distanced himself from Friess?s comment, calling it a ?bad joke.?
